Compassion at its best
Through the work of Dr. William P Hodges, an American missionary, and Father Joseph Lepevedic, a French Catholic missionary, Limbe became one of the most important health centers for Northern Haiti. The population increased considerably, but the two health centers have degraded almost proportionally. The only available health care system for most people is the Voodoo temple where they go to sacrifice their money for a Voodoo treatment. Jacob’s Well provides periodic weeklong health care clinics. In the future, we hope to build a facility where health care can be available for expecting mothers, the mentally challenged and all kind of sickness.
